Jacot, Chaux-de-fonds, 45mm, heavy 18K gold drum style original Jacot & Gerard HC with beautiful engine turning and engraving detail and with black enamel inlay to front, rear, and band, small Jürgensen-style lips, signed gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, gold and blued hands, SW-LS with crown turned in reverse of usual direction for winding, lever escapement with counterpoise and capped escape wheel, likely 17J, nickel damascene, s#9217 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 49.6 dwt (77.1 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, small abrasions, and small surface spots, some mild ultra-fine scratch striations from past wiping(s); visible portion of dial with tiny hl in sliver of space between upper rim of seconds-register and center hole for hands; excellent hands, minute with slight bend; case with broken or missing front lift spring, case shows hardly any wear, nick to upper-left shoulder of rear, superb engine turning and engraving detail, black enameling fully intact; bow pivots freely, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
