LPW - Waltham, Wm Ellery, 13J, 6S, 14K gold drum style original HC with spectacular engraving detail, front with idyllic scene featuring a stately home on its own island with mountains in the background and wooded shoreline in the foreground, rear with idyllic waterfall scene featuring a man rowing a boat in the midground, and three mountain peaks in the background, rear with rayed engraving detail to upper portion emanating in a sunburst pattern from the peak of the central mountain giving a delightful impression of a sunrise or sunset, front and rear perimeters with white gold "beads" having dark band of surrounding tarnish giving a wonderful framing effect to interior engraving detail, band with green gold "beads" at its midpoint, gold cuvette with engraved name, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#3016504. Gross weight of assembled watch 38.0 dwt (59.2 g). An exquisite gold pendant watch with very appealing engraving detail. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, areas of haze to plates, scattered micro-fine scratches; dial nearly flawless in visible portion with mild circular mark of hand rub within seconds-register; excellent hands; case shows virtually no wear, no dents, exquisite crisp engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
