APW - Waltham, Special Railroad King, 15J, Model 1883, 18S, coin silver OF original A.W.C.Co. case with very attractive floral engraving detail to rear, bezel and rear with inverted thread arrangement (referred to as "inside screw" by this case maker), white enamel DS dial with "For R.R. Service" marking above seconds-register, SW-SS, nickel damascene, s#4678883. A very attractive example of this scarce watch. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scratch between upper case screw and "A" of "Adjusted," some scattered mild fine to micro-fine scratches elsewhere, oxide to regulator assembly; dial with scattered hls, small dark edge flaw to perimeter at 2:30; fine hands with some areas of oxide; case shows light wear, light even patina, few scattered small nicks, engraving detail with some reduction; tight bow, crown shows light wear; thick glass crystal with scattered scratches and nicks.
