LPW - Barraud & Lund, Cornhill, London, lever fusee, 42mm, 18K gold original HC bearing London hallmarks for 1863, incuse casemaker's "H W" marking, exterior with exquisite floral engraving detail, blue enamel garter to front, fixed gold cuvette, engraved gold dial, KWKS (key not included with this lot), lever escapement, 9J, gilt mvt, s#2/8853 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 38.6 dwt (60.0 g). CONDITION: Mvt: fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine scratches, some ultra-fine scratch striations from past wiping(s); excellent dial with some small losses of black paint to numerals; excellent hour hand, fine minute hand with some oxide and finish loss to fleur-de-lis and tip; case front lid tending to hang up on its latch and need some assistance opening, case bezel tending to not stay seated flush which also creates some issue to opening front lid, case shows hardly any wear, no dents, superb engraving detail, blue enamel with area of loss at lower-right; tight bow, push shows little wear; good glass crystal.
