APW - Seth Thomas, Grade 196, 15J, Model 3, 18S, gold-filled original OF case with beautiful engraving detail, rear with small dockside scene within shield, watch paper inside rear with matching s# to case, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#66561. Currently in need of overhaul for running condition but otherwise an attractive example, highlighted by its beautiful original case. CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, balance will tick weakly if some excess pressure is held to crown, overhaul needed, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, some toning of plates, few micro-fine scratches and mild small surface spots, few small spots of oxide to regulator; dial with very light edge wear under bezel with few tiny edge hls, small edge flake under bezel at 3, few scattered short micro-fine scratches, light yellow mark within center-section at 3:30; fine-plus hands with spots of ample oxide; case shows hardly any wear, dent to bezel between 3 and 4, superb engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good thick glass crystal.
