LPW - Waltham, Royal, 11J, 8S, very heavy 14K(+) gold (tested, with case front and rear having slow fade of 18K solution on stone and no fade of 14K solution, and with band and cuvette having rapid fade of 18K solution, no fade of 14K solution) original B.W.Co. HC with inaccurate 18K marking, case with beautiful engraving and enamel detail, front with central scene in ivory colored and black enamel of a sailboat passing in front of a lighthouse with mountainous background, rear with central scene in ivory colored and black enamel of a patriotic crest, both front and rear scenes within black enameled frames with floral detail and eagle's heads to left and right and surrounding floral elements at perimeters, scalloped band, bow with chain guards, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#1901613. Gross weight of assembled watch 54.6 dwt (84.9 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with some areas of haze, main plate with ultra-fine scratch striations from past wipings; visible portion of dial with scattered hls; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, ding to lower rear perimeter above right side of hinge, excellent engraving detail, central enamel scenes fully intact, remainder of black enameling surrounding and at perimeter nearly fully intact with few very minor bits of loss, case front lift spring needing a nudge of assistance through initial portion of lid's opening range; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
