Bartlett, 15J, Model 1865, 10S, 14K gold (tested) original "W.P. & Co" HC with lion hallmark in cameo, beautiful engine turning and engraving details highlighted with intricate black and white enameling, gold cuvette with presentation, white enamel SS dial, KWKS (key not included with this lot), lever escapement, gilt mvt, gilt mvt, s#354431. Gross weight of assembled watch 42.4 dwt (65.9 g). Comes with tooled leather "American Watch" marked box with blue felt lined interior. CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, ticks for a few seconds after a twist then stops, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, uneven cloudy haze to plates, long fine scratch between winding barrel arbor and third wheel jewel setting, few short micro-fine scratches elsewhere, some mild bits of oxide to steelwork; dial with scattered hls, few small edge flakes under bezel at 12 and few at seconds-register hole; excellent-plus hour hand, excellent seconds-hand, fine-plus minute hand with oxide to spade; case front with evident soldered repair internally adjacent hinge area, case front needs some assistance to fully open and only opens shy of 90 degrees, case shows very little wear, no dents, excellent engine turning, engraving, and presentation details, enamel mostly intact with some scattered small spots of loss; tight bow, pushmshows light wear; good glass crystal. Box shows light to medium wear with scattered scuffs, nicks, and stains throughout, raised fitted presentation stand has come unglued from base. Estimate: $2,000 - $2,500 JH-79110
