Waltham, lever escapement 8-day marine chronometer with winding indicator, 37S mvt, 15J, SW-SS, mounted within gimbaled brass tub set in three-tier brass bound mahogany box with inlaid Waltham name plate to center tier, metal dial of approximately 2.5 inch diameter, SW-SS, lever escapement, nickel mvt, s#22228720. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, a few fine scratches and light toning to plates; excellent dial, small rub mark to center under Waltham logo; excellent-plus hands; tub and gimbals show heavy finish loss and even spotting, bezel has lost all of the original finish; good glass crystal with small internal crack towards the edge, doesn't impact dial visibility; box shows medium wear, several small nicks and fine scratches throughout, large patch of scratches on right side of the middle-tier, button latch good, small chip above lock between sections, good glass, locking key is present but does not currently function.
