Status: Sold
PW lot (2) Hamilton, U.S. military issue watches, 16S, chrome-plated base metal OF cases, painted metal dials, SW-SS, one runs, lot also includes two boxes as pictured as well as a carrying case by Geo. H. Adamson which is shock-resistant mount and metal-shielded bayonet-locking style for combat use, typically in aircraft, as well as with small instruction insert and its original cardboard outer box - [1] Model 23 chronograph with 30-minute register, World War II era military "Navigational Time & Stop Watch", 19J, case rear is engraved "E.S. IVESON, FROM S.S. THE DELLES," case rear markings align substantially out of index to pendant as pictured but case rear serial number does correctly match to case band, satin nickel mvt finish, s#P23944, runs, good chronograph function; an interesting example due to its case rear markings, we found no info with a very cursory search to shed light on its meaning but suspect it may well be a worthwhile effort for its next owner. [2] Grade 4992B, 22J, vertical stripe nickel damascene, fully capped escapement, s#4C15474, NR, fully wound, good balance staff; case rear contract serial number does not match to contract serial number marking of box. CONDITION: Multiple lots sold as-is; running condition briefly checked and noted above along with any functional issues observed; condition report is minimal with not all flaws mentioned; please refer to photos; returns only accepted if our description contains an incorrect piece of information.
