Waltham, "Correct Time" 8-day jeweler's counter top clock with winding indicator, 37S mvt, 7J, brass body set within a wood and metal box with brass carrying handle, "W.D. Webb Inc." and "Correct Time" plaques, silvered dial of approximately 3.75 inch diameter, SW-SS, lever escapement, nickel mvt, s# not visible inside mounted clock. In need of overhaul, but a very attractive example of Waltham's distinctive jeweler's storefront clock. The W.D. Webb Inc. was a long-time retailer located in reenwich, Connecticut. CONDITION: Mvt: NR, likely broken mainspring, balance is gummy, good winding indicator function although hand travels endlessly due to broken mainspring never reaching a stopping point while wound, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, fine scratches throughout plates, a few deeper scratches to plates, hardly any oxide; fine-plus dial with dark spots of staining throughout, multiple light surface scratches around dial center; fine-plus hands with some finish loss to tip of hour hand and around pinion of minutes hand, light oxide; wood and metal box shows hardly any wear, two small repair spots are visible on back, front brass bezel shows light wear, ample oxide and finish loss to the back of the brass body; good glass crystal; some finish loss to top of winding key, in otherwise excellent condition. Estimate: $300 - $600 JH-75772
