#88 • Clock lot (25) Diverse assortment

Part of 260730 - "Unwind & Reset" Watches, Jewelry & Coins - July 23 - July 30 (timed auction by Jones & Horan Auctions)

High bid $170.00

Status: Sold

Clock lot (25) Diverse assortment as pictured. One interesting piece included in this lot is an Uti automobile clock in a wooden box (rear of the clock case is engraved "Les Mans 1906 Renault AK90CW Ferenc Szisz" which corresponds to the winner of the first Grand Prix racing event, but we note that the engraving style and execution appears of signicantly later addition to the piece, so we suspect was added to the clock in the latter half of the 20th century or after, rather than during Szisz's lifetime). Additional highlights of the low include a tachometer, a chess game clock, an Intervale timer, a New Haven clock and notepad, a pigeon racing clock, an Elgin 8-day travel clock, and eighteen others as pictured, clocks are untested as to function. Shipping Note: Please note that while Jones & Horan can ship this lot in-house, the cost of shipping will be expensive so please factor that into your bidding. CONDITION: Multiple lots sold as-is; running condition not checked; condition report is minimal with not all flaws mentioned; please refer to photos; returns only accepted if our description contains an incorrect piece of information. Estimate: $250 - $500 JH-79295
