WW - Elgin Type A-11, manual wind, 31mm x 38mm to lug tips, 16mm lug width, original chrome-plated base metal screw back case with U.S. Army contract details engraved to case back, no strap, original black dial with creamy white painted Arabic numerals, 16J cal 539, s#L21535, triple signed. Includes original Elgin hang tag and protective pouch. A pristine example of this incredibly popular WWII military watch that would be wonderful addition to anyone's military, WWII, or American field watch collection. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good hack function, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, a few fine scratches to plates, no oxide; excellent-plus original dial with paint that has faded with a creamy patina that matches the hands, small stain near 3; excellent-plus hands with small scratch to minutes hand; unpolished case shows hardly any wear, a few small fleabites to chrome-plated finish to case sides and lugs; original crown shows hardly any wear; good plastic crystal.
