WW - Longines "Sei-Tacche," ref 23243, manual wind, 33mm x 41mm to lug tips, 16mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back case, brown leather strap, refinished silvered dial with lume painted indices, 17J cal 12.68N, s#7093105, triple signed. The Longines "Sei-Tacche" gets the nickname from the six notches found on its early "waterproof" designed caseback from the 1940s. It shared a similar design to military watches of the period making it popular with collectors of wartime-era wristwatches. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, a few light surface spots to plates; fine-plus refinished dial with even surface spotting and a few fine scratches; excellent relumed blued hands; polished case shows light wear, a several light dings to case sides; signed crown shows light wear and has a few small dings; good plastic crystal.
