APW - Illinois, Bunn Special marked "Extra," 21J, 18S, gold-filled OF recase with attractive engine turning and engraving detail, "Christophersen & Amundsen" marked white enamel DS dial with fancy log style Roman numerals, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, ornate two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#1826969. An excellent example of this rare Bunn Special variant that features one of Illinois' most spectacular two-tone movement finishes. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, superb two-tone color, few scattered fine to micro-fine scratches and small surface spots, regulator spring with few small specks of oxide; dial with small flake at center above hands, small flaking around rim of seconds-register hole, light outer chapter hl at 12:30, perimeter flake outside minute chapter at 3:30; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, excellent engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
