LPW - Elgin, Lady Elgin, 15J, 10S, 18K gold original N & Co. HC with exquisite engraving and black enamel details, front with initialed shield within ornate floral frame, rear with quaint shore side home and mountain scene within ornate floral frame, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, morning glory hands, KWKS (key not included with this lot), gilt mvt, s#175013. Comes as pictured with a small leather pouch. Gross weight of assembled watch 45.2 dwt (70.3 g). An exquisitely beautiful pendant watch with case in superbly crisp condition. Also of note is that the present watch came to us in conjunction with the 14K gold chain in the previous lot. This pair has presumably spent much, if not all, of its lifetime together, thus we have presented it here as back-to-back lots to provide the opportunity for someone to win both and keep the pair intact. CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking weakly, overhaul recommended, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to right train bridge screw head, few tiny specks of oxide to winding arbor escutcheon; visible portion of dial with hl emanating from center hole to 11, hl to top of seconds-register, short hl at 6, some scattered spots of very light surface dirtiness; nearly mint seconds-hand, excellent hour hand and minute hand; case front lift spring is weak needing assistance to open and allowing opened lid to tilt halfway toward closed with rear, case shows hardly any wear, mild dent to right front perimeter, superb engraving detail, enamel detail largely intact though with some scattered losses, small mild dent to cuvette perimeter near winding hole; tight bow, push shows light wear and has ample side-to-side and rotational play; glass crystal with few short fine scratches at 9:30. Leather pouch shows ample wear and is torn at one side. Estimate: $3,000 - $3,600 JH-80835
