LPW - Waltham, Royal, 13J, 8S, 18K gold drum style original HC with beautiful engraving detail including unusual rear scene of a bird opening a book, front shield with initials, gold cuvette with 1883 presentation engraving, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#1938703. Gross weight of assembled watch 42.5 dwt (66.1 g). A beautiful case highlighted by its interesting and charming rear scene. CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking somewhat sluggishly on a full wind, overhaul recommended, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, some long surface scratches and small dark spots; dial with scattered hls; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, some fine scratches to rear, no exterior dents, cuvette with numerous dings, superb engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
