LPW - Swiss, mvt and case signed for American retailer Hyman, Berg & Co. of Chicago, IL, 31mm, 18K gold OF original J&S (Jeannot & Shiebler) case with initials to rear, blue guilloche enamel dial with gold foil markings, fancy gold Louis XV style hands, SW-SS, lever escapement, 16-17J, wolf's tooth winding, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#101864 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 18.2 dwt (28.4 g). An attractive piece highlighted by its spectacular blue guilloche dial, we believe the movement is likely by Agassiz. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; flawless dial; nearly mint hands; case shows very little wear, no dents, good engraving detail; bow pivots freely, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
