EPW - Gibson & Co., Belfast, minute repeater, massive 18K gold original demi-HC, bearing London hallmarks for 1895, "F T" in cameo for casemaker Frederick Thoms, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-pin-set, fully capped lever escapement, diamond balance endstone, at least 20J, gilt mvt, s#48896. Gross weight of assembled watch 104.8 dwt (163.0 g). A very impressive example with notably massive gold case. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good repeat function aside from hands being one minute out of index, good repeat tone, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered micro-fine scratches, light screwdriver marks to screwheads; flawless dial; excellent hands with light oxide to tip of minute hand, few micro fine scratches to hour and minute hands; case shows light wear, scattered pinpoint dings; tight bow, crown shows light wear with some ridge break; good glass primary crystal, glass demi-HC crystal with few fine scratches.
