EPW - Litherland Whiteside & Co, Liverpool, lever fusee, 53mm, heavy 17-18K rose gold (outer case at 18K, inner case at 17K) OF pair cases bearing Chester hallmarks for 1831, casemaker's incuse "T H" marking, white enamel dial, hacking slide under dial at 7, KWKS (key not included with lot), lever escapement, diamond endstone, gilt mvt with gilt locking dust-cap, s#5581. Gross weight of assembled watch 91.4 dwt (142.2 g). Materials tested via XRF analysis. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good hacking function though needing a twist to restart, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, surface nicks, and some areas of abrasion, head of balance cock screw has been sanded; flawless dial; excellent hands; outer case shows light wear, numerous scattered dings to rear, button latch good; inner case shows light wear, few dings; bow pivots freely; good glass crystal.
