EPW - Harry Potter, London, gold repoussé verge fusee, 46mm, 22K gold OF pair cases, outer case with ornate classical repoussé scene, inner case bearing London hallmarks for 1797, casemaker's "R P" in cameo, white enamel dial with arcaded minute chapter, KWKS (key not included with this lot), verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge with depiction of Father Time below a winged hour glass and crossed scythes, s#305 with matching serial number within inner case. Gross weight of assembled watch 56.5 dwt (87.9 g). Materials tested via XRF analysis. CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, will tick briefly with a twist or continuously with some excess reverse pressure held to fusee, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered scratches and surface nicks with the majority being adjacent pillar at s# area and at main plate perimeter adjacent balance bridge table; dial with scattered hls, edge chip at 1, some small edge flaking or chipping in a few spots elsewhere; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, some dings inward to leg of figure at right side, excellent repoussé detail, button latch good but button is indented inward at two areas; inner case shows light wear, numerous dings and dents; bow pivots freely; domed glass bull's-eye crystal with scattered scratches and nicks.
