Addendum - 10/21/26: Please note our original listing did not include information regarding watch weight; the gross weight of assembled watch is 81.5 dwt (126.8 g). APW - E. Howard & Co, Boston, Series III with rare nickel damascene, 15J, N-S (just over 19S), 18K gold original L&K HC, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, KWKS (key not included with this lot), rayed pattern nickel damascene, s#25926. A rare and attractive movement, it is believed that approximately 140 examples of the nickel damascene Series III were produced. CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly on a full wind and stopping occasionally, mvt not secured within case as locating pin is missing from mvt dial plate and as case lip has metal loss at case screw position so watch must be handled with appropriate awareness and caution as it will drop freely from the case if the bezel is off, inspection of mvt dial plate reveals a replacement pin position started at 11 but evidently unused as case does not have a matching hole, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, surface spot above "&" symbol in signature, some peck marks and few fine scratches near case screw position, few fine to micro-fine scratches and small peck marks elsewhere, some mild ultra-fine scratch striations from past light wiping(s), case screw is a replacement with smaller sized head; dial with few hls; fine hands, hour and minute with some areas of finish loss; case with metal loss to inner lip at mvt case screw area (a good quality laser welding of gold at this position would be a well advised repair for its next owner), case shows ample wear, numerous dings to rear, few dings to front and cuvette, case front lift spring not contacting lid to fully open position allowing lid to tilt approximately one-third toward closed with gravity, cuvette with profuse fine scratches from past key slips, front hinge missing one end-cap; tight replacement bow of somewhat different gold tone, push shows ample wear; glass crystal is smaller than appropriate and has play within front bezel. Estimate: $6,000 - $7,000 JH-79977
