APW - Adams & Perry, mvt signed "Lancaster Watch, Penna," 20J, 19S, gold-filled original HC with beautiful engine turning and engraving detail, white enamel SS canister style (snap on) dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, nickel damascene, s#2045. An exceptional example of this rare high grade early watch. Total production of this Adams & Perry model is believed to be approximately 1000 made but the high majority of these were in gilt finish, as nickel damascene examples such as the present are notably rarer. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some toning of plates, some scattered micro-fine scratches; dial with cluster of perimeter hls between 12:30 and 2, hl at 5, short light line near 11 that appears likely an as-made finish imperfection; excellent-plus hands, some finish loss to portion of minute tip; case shows hardly any wear, some small nicks to band, no dents, superb crisp engine turning and engraving detail; bow pivots freely, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
