APW - Elgin, convertible model, Grade 93, 11J, 16S, very heavy 14K rose gold box hinge drum style original HC with attractive engraving details, gold cuvette, white enamel SS fancy dial with gold foil numeral surrounds and accents, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#2042462. Gross weight of assembled watch 88.9 dwt (138.2 g ). Materials tested via XRF analysis. A very impressive example with substantial in-hand presence. CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking slightly sluggishly depending on position, overhaul recommended, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scratch and few small nicks at case screw, some scattered micro-fine scratches elsewhere, few scattered small light and light yellow spots, some scattered small spots of oxide to steelwork; visible portion of dial with patched chip partially under bezel at 6, faint partial ring of hand rub within seconds-register; excellent-plus hour hand, fine-plus minute and seconds with medium oxide, seconds-hand is a replacement; case shows very little wear, small nick to right front shoulder, good engraving detail, fine scratches to cuvette from past slipped openings; tight bow, crown shows very light wear; good glass crystal.
