EPW - Longines, Swiss, Istituto Idrografico R. Marina deck watch, used by the Royal Italian Navy Hydrographic Institute for cartography and survey use, 103mm, chrome-plated base metal OF original Longines case, inner cuvette signed "Istituto Idrografico R. Marina," silvered dial with black painted Arabic numerals, SW-SS with sweep-seconds, fully capped lever escapement, 21J, gilt mvt, cal 24.99, mvt s#5205198, case s#368. Comes as pictured with a foam-lined metal holder with attachment points to secure to your instrument panel, and also with a bow which can not be installed while the watch is in this metal holder. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, fine scratches, light toning, and hazing to plates, some areas of discoloration near s#, hardly any oxide; excellent dial with few light surface spots, few light stains near center and 12; excellent-plus hands; case shows light wear, some pitting around the band to chrome-plating, few very small dings to bezel, no dents; bow shows hardly any wear and is not attached to the pendant, crown shows light wear with some light plating loss; glass crystal with a few scratches, mostly around the center; metal holder shows honest signs of use, even paint loss throughout.
