McGregor & Co., Glasgow & Greenock, Scotland, marine chronometer, fusee-drive with spring detent escapement, 56-hour winding indicator, and helical hairspring, mounted within a gimbaled brass tub in a three-tier wooden box with signature plaque to front with matching s# and inset brass handles, upper display glass, silvered dial of approximately 3.75 inch diameter, KWKS (key included), free-sprung with spring detent escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance, and helical hairspring, gilt mvt, s#2096 to dial. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, light toning and some discoloration to plates; dial with light haze, a few light scratches, scattered surface spots, and a few groups of fine scratches around subsidiary seconds and VIII, some rub wear along perimeter; excellent hands; tub and gimbals show light wear, light toning throughout, hardly any oxide, gimbals with good function; hazy glass crystal that would benefit from a polish; box shows very little wear, small crack and hls throughout signature plaque, small scratch to back, good button latch, locking function unknown as key is not present.
