Parkinson & Frodsham, Change Alley, London, marine chronometer, fusee-drive with spring detent escapement, mounted within a gimbaled brass tub in a three-tier substantially refinished wooden box with brass drop handles, upper display glass, silvered dial of approximately 3 inch diameter, KWKS (key included), free-sprung with spring detent escapement, bi-metallic compensation balance, and helical hairspring, gilt mvt, s#619 to dial. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, hazy plates with scattered fine scratches and light surface spots; dial with scattered surface spots, a few small scuffs near minute track, some deeper wear along perimeter, some of the Roman numerals have been touched up; fine-plus hands; tub and gimbals show very light wear, a few light scratches, gimbals with good function; good glass crystal; substantially refinished box shows light wear, upper lid with two fractures that run from side to side, good button latch, locking function unknown as locking key is not present.
