Clock - L. Leroy & Cie Grand & Petite Sonnerie repeating carriage clock, gilt brass case with stepped sides, silvered engine turned dial with black Breguet numerals, original jeweled lever escapement marked "Extra" with a blued steel helical hairspring, original lever platform, s#20430, height 7.5 inches to top of upright handle. A truly fabulous clock from one of the finest French watchmakers to do the craft. CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking sluggishly, overhaul recommended, good platform performance, good strike function from Grand & Petite, good repeat function, light oil stains on the back mvt plate, top plate is discolored; flawless dial; case with wear to underlying brass in several areas, some dings and fine scratches on the handle, glasses all in mint condition; excellent hands with minor loss of bluing.
