WW - Universal Genève "Broad Arrow" Polerouter, ref 20214-2, circa 1950s, bumper automatic, 35mm x 45mm to lug tips, 19mm lug width, original gold cap over stainless steel screw back case with twisted lugs, no strap, original champagne crosshair dial with radium painted "nitelite" inner bezel, 17J cal 138SS, s#1817678, triple signed. This reference is one of the first three Polerouter models to feature the broad arrow style of hands as shown in a 1956 Universal Genève advertisement. This combination of golden center and nitelite bezel is usually found on ref 20214-14. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, fine scratches and light spotting to steelwork, hardly any oxide; excellent original dial with even surface spotting and a beautifully faded nitelite bezel that perfectly matches the radium fill of the hands; excellent hands with even spotting throughout that matches the dial; polished case shows light wear, a couple of light dings on case sides and lugs, case back shows a few small dents from improper tool use; crown shows light wear; good plastic crystal.
