French, Royal Exchange, London, pivoted detent pocket chronometer with helical hairspring, Swiss-made for English market, 52mm, 18K gold original HC with small Jürgensen-style lips, gold cuvette marked "Chronometre" with floral surround, white enamel SS dial, gold hands, SW-button-set with unusual arrangement of button in case band at 2 that is "neutral" at its intermediate position with neither setting or winding engaged, pressed inward to engage winding, and pulled outward to engage setting, pivoted detent escapement with capped detent and capped escape wheel, gilt mvt, s#11891 within case and to dial. Gross weight of assembled watch 69.1 dwt (107.5 g). CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, will tick if excess pressure is held to crown, overhaul needed, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered scratches and fine scratches, overall ultra-fine scratch striations from past wiping(s); dial with hl from near 2 extending to upper-right of seconds-register and having a very short secondary branch to seconds-register, few faint hls elsewhere, small patched edge chip near 2, few small fine scratches; nearly mint hands; case shows little wear, small ding to band at 9, few small nicks elsewhere to band, no dents; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
