EPW - Touchon, Swiss (signed under dial), visible portion of mvt marked only for American retailer L. W. Vilsack & Co., Pittsburgh, Pa., 47mm, heavy 14K gold original HC with vermicelli engraving and ornate high relief floral detail, fancy monogrammed initials within rear shield, gold cuvette with birthday presentation which reads "George J. Geisler "Pittsburgh, Pa." from Grandmother Kretzler on the occasion of his 16th Birthday July 24th, 1907", "L. W. Vilsack & Co." marked white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, 21J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#250999. Gross weight of assembled watch 54.5 dwt (84.8. g). An excellent watch, paired with an even more exquisite case of great beauty and detail. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some purple and brown toning to balance cock, some scattered small surface spots, small discolored spot with some verdigris to dial plate below fourth wheel bridge, scattered short fine to micro-fine scratches, few tiny spots of oxide to steelwork; visible portion of dial with hl at 5, extremely faint hl at 7:30, very few tiny flakes to seconds-register rim, some micro-fine scratches within seconds-register; mint hands; case shows hardly any wear, few small dings to bezel at 12, cuvette with few scratches from past slipped openings, superb high relief and vermicelli detail; brassy replacement bow pivots freely, crown shows very light wear and is seated higher than appropriate on pendant; good glass crystal.
