EPW - Record Watch Co, S.A., Tramelan, "Sector Watch" signed to cuvette, fan-form with retrograde hours and minutes on a 12 hour scale, 60mm wide x 71mm from bail tip to crown, silver OF original case with delightful niello finish of a majestic buck framed within log and foliate detail, fixed bail at bottom, signed silver cuvette, SW-SS, white enamel dial, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#112 within case. A delightful example of this iconic watch style, scarce in niello finish, and with one of the most appealing case motifs we have seen with this type. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good retrograde function, some curved scratches adjacent stem detent screw, some small patches of oxide to winding wheels; dial with some light hls in lower portion, two fractured segments within minute chapter above 2; case shows little wear, no dents, good engraving detail, niello fully intact to rear, niello substantially intact to bezel with the exceptions of an area of loss to front side above 9 that has been retouched in black color and some areas of wear through to rear finish at left perimeter and right perimeter; crown shows medium wear; glass crystal with few scattered small fine scratches and small edge nicks.
