EPW - Beau a Moulin, quarter-hour repeater verge fusee, 42mm, 18K multicolor gold OF case with stringed musical instrument and altar at rear center, foliate detail to rear perimeter, white enamel dial with winding aperture at 2, KWKS (key not included with this lot), gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, no visible s#. Gross weight of assembled watch 50.1 dwt (78.0 g). Materials tested via XRF analysis. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, repeat typically striking the correct number of hours aside from hands being a small bit out of index, occasionally missing quarter-hours though occasionally striking properly with the exception of a consistent failure to sound second tone of strike of third quarter-hour, repeat tone good for hour strikes, repeat tone for quarter-hours sounding as a dull tap for initial tone and a clear resonant strike for second tone, overhaul needed for full correct repeat function and tone, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scratch to plate perimeter at hinge side; dial with patched chipping surrounding winding aperture, patched edge chips at 11 which take out portion of "55" minute numeral, patched edge chip at 12:30; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, no dents, good engine turning and engraving detail, button latch good; bow pivots semi-freely; domed glass bull's-eye crystal with some scattered small edge chips and flakes.
