EPW - Romilly a Paris, verge fusee, 46mm, 18K multicolor gold OF case with beautiful rear polychrome enamel detail depicting Justitia (Lady Justice) seated while holding a scale and sword alongside a seated putto holding a book, rear bordered by multicolor gold foliate detail with inset diamonds, bezel with inset diamonds bordering crystal, white enamel dial with diamonds inset at half hour positions, winding aperture at 2, fancy white hands with inset diamonds, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled balance cock, s#2714. Gross weight of assembled watch 36.7 dwt (57.1 g). Materials tested via XRF analysis. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, superb gilt tone, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with flaking around winding aperture, otherwise flawless; excellent hands; case shows little wear, no dents or dings, good engraving detail, rear enamel with sizable areas of loss at right perimeter and lower-left perimeter with some touch-up paint in portions of these areas to reduce the color difference, remaining enamel with scattered fine scratches, rear with three diamonds lost from foliate border, bezel with two diamonds lost, case hinge with evident repair to one knuckle; tight bow; good domed glass crystal.
