Hamilton, carrying case for watches, leather exterior marked in gold foil with "The Hamilton Watch The Railroad Timekeeper of America," interior with the same markings repeated in gold foil to its black silk lid liner, "Hamilton Watches" in gold-foil to front lip of interior, interior has a padded insert for eight 16S watches, case measures approximately 10.5 inches x 6.25 inches x 3 inches. A scarce item for the Hamilton collector, this piece would have originally also come with a removable inner tray that had spaces for an additional eight watches, but this tray is no longer present as is often seen among these carrying cases. CONDITION: Box shows ample wear, areas of exterior leather loss, upper lid appears to have once had tape across its surface in two areas which has left strips of spotty finish loss, front originally would have had a thin leather strap as handle which is no longer present and one of the two small leather pieces which would have secured this strap is tornm, button latches good; interior is missing its removable tray, otherwise interior is excellent with just some mild print losses to gold foil of lid liner.
