APW - Hamilton, Grade 992B, U.S. Ordnance Department watch, 21J, 16S, chrome-plated base metal OF case with contract markings to rear, Montgomery white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, mono-metallic balance with Elinvar hairspring, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#C76780. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates, very few scattered short micro-fine scratches, scattered small to tiny spots of oxide to steelwork; dial with few short scratches at 3:30 and some scattered short scratches and fine to micro-fine scratches elsewhere, few scattered tiny edge nicks under bezel; excellent hour and minute hands, fine-plus seconds-hand with light oxide; case shows little wear, small mild dent to band at 5:30, few small file marks to upper-left rear shoulder and perimeter, scattered short scratches and small to tiny nicks to band, excellent contract marking detail, scattered tiny spots of finish loss to raised portions of rear and bezel reeding and to band; tight bow, crown shows very light wear; yellowed plastic crystal with green debris at its seat.
