Longines, Swiss, marine chronometer with lever escapement and 36-hour winding indicator, gimbaled brass tub set within a two-tier mahogany box with Longines plaque to top bearing mismatched s# to the present piece, silvered dial of approximately 3 inch diameter, SW-SS, lever escapement, 17J, snail-cam regulator, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, cal. 21.29, s#6411641. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, winding indicator not functioning, overhaul needed for winding indicator function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, area of surface haze, few fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with some areas of mild darkening, few fine scratches and surface spots; fine hands with areas of paint loss; tub and gimbals show little wear, gimbals somewhat tight and occasionally releasing from their support within box, good glass crystal; inner box shows little wear, locking key is missing, Longines plaque on top with mismatched s# to present piece; outer box shows light wear, leather strap missing from one side, underside with horizontal wood split running across its full length.
