Clock - Chelsea Clock Co., 8-day U.S. Army "Message Center M2" Military Clock, black Bakelite case set within wooden transport box, black metal dial of approximately 6 inch diameter, KW and hands manually set (key not included with this lot), GMT hand for tracking a second time zone, sweep-seconds, case not opened to inspect mvt type or s#. These clocks were used by the U.S. Army in the field between WWII and the Vietnam War to note the time when messages were received. SHIPPING NOTE: Please note that while Jones & Horan can ship this lot in-house, the cost of shipping will be expensive so please factor that into your bidding if you cannot pickup in person. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, case not opened to inspect mvt condition; excellent dial shows hardly any wear, radium lume has not darkened much; excellent hands, light loss of raidum paint to hour and minute hands; Bakelite case shows light wear; good glass crystal; box shows light wear, a few open holes from where a strap would have been attached.
