Lot (7) Horological assortment, includes PW, PW mvts, and more - [1] PW: Hamilton, Grade 974, 17J, 16S, gold-filled OF case with initials to rear, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, gilt mvt screws and regulator assembly, s#390579, runs. [2 to 5] Four PW mvts: Makers include Waltham, Hamilton, Hampden, and James Russell & Co, 12-18S, 15-21J, white enamel dials, one runs (Waltham Crescent St. 21J 16S HC), three are NR; a diverse little group with an interesting piece being the James Russell & Co. with low serial number 132 - this mvt is missing its upper balance jewels and has a curious "American Watch" signed dial which appears to have been modified from an "American Watch Co." signature - we note that Ron Price, author of "Origins of the Waltham Model 57," has done a great amount of research on the James Russell & Co. marked products. Ron has theorized that these are comprised in-part of Waltham Watch Co. produced material and further theorizes of the possibility of an association of these products with Aaron L. Dennison, please see Ron's commentary and notes at the following link - https://www.plads.com/m57/JamesRussell/ [6] PW dial only: Elgin 18S white enamel DS dial for up/down winding indicator model, comes as pictured with a mvt dial plate attached, dial with some hls. [7] PW box only: Elgin hard plastic box for men's dress watch, attractive style with burgandy color exterior. CONDITION: Multiple lots sold as-is; running condition briefly checked and noted above along with any functional issues observed; condition report is minimal with not all flaws mentioned; please refer to photos; returns only accepted if our description contains an incorrect piece of information.
