APW - Ball Hamilton, Official RR Standard, Grade 999R, 23J, 16S, gold-filled OF original Ball Model stirrup bow case, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, bull's-eye pattern nickel damascene, s#B617734. The Grade 999R is identified as being a 23 jewel 16 size Ball Hamilton movement that does not have a gold "RR" seal inset in the movement plates; total production of this variant was 2000 with all being made in a single production run finished between 1925 and 1927. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, slight haze to plates, scratch near case screw and scattered short fine to microfine scratches elsewhere, some scattered small to tiny spots of oxide to steelwork; dial with hl at 4:30, scattered small to tiny flakes to seconds-register rim, few scattered spots of very light bezel scrape; excellent hour hand, fine-plus seconds with light oxide, fine minute with medium oxide; case shows little wear, some small mild dents and scattered small to tiny nicks and dings to band, thin sliver of wear to brass beginning to form to bezel edge; tight bow, crown shows light wear; glass crystal with some scattered short fine to micro-fine scratches and few small nicks.
