APW - Elgin, Overland, 17J, 18S, heavy 13K gold HC recase with attractive engraving details, castle and double arched bridge over water scene to rear within frame, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#10927168. Materials tested via XRF analysis. Gross weight of assembled watch 85.9 dwt (133.5 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, some scattered short micro-fine scratches and tiny nicks, light oxide to plate screw right of signature and few scattered tiny spots elsewhere to steelwork; visible portion of dial with scattered hls; excellent-plus hour hand, excellent minute and seconds-hand with few tiny spots of oxide; case shows light wear, no dents, very few tiny nicks, good engraving detail, reduced engine turning detail with few areas of partial loss; tight brass replacement bow, crown shows medium wear; glass crystal is substantially smaller than appropriate and is not secured, resting freely on bezel under lid.
