APW - Elgin, 7J, 18S, 8K gold drum style original B.W.C.Co. HC with misleading "18" marking, attractive engine turning and engraving detail including a seaside scene to rear, initials to front, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#1730226. Materials tested via XRF analysis. Gross weight of assembled watch 74.8 dwt (116.2 g). CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking very sluggishly with low amplitude on a full wind, overhaul needed, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, good gilt tone, scratch crossing barrel bridge, some lesser scratches and fine scratches elsewhere, some areas with mild haze; visible portion of dial with some hls; excellent hands; case shows little wear, grouping of dings creating indentation of front center, shallow denting to portions of rear, mild dent to band near 12, some scattered dings elsewhere, good engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
