APW - Hamilton, Grade 950B, 23J, 16S, gold-filled OF original Hamilton Model A case, "Hamilton 23 Jewels Railway Special" marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, mono-metallic balance with Elinvar hairspring, jeweled barrel arbor, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#S3765. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright plates, some scattered short micro-fine scratches, small spot of oxide to smaller winding wheel and very few tiny spots elsewhere to steelwork: dial with some scattered faint hls, large edge flakes partially under bezel at 10, small edge flakes under bezel at 9 and some scattered tiny edge nicks and chips elsewhere under bezel; excellent hands with few small spots of oxide; case shows little wear, no dents, some scattered small to tiny nicks to band, thin slivers and small spots of wear to brass to high points of case; tight bow with with thin slivers of wear to brass, crown shows little wear; glass crystal with few short fine scratches to center.
