APW - Hamilton, Grade 992 Elinvar, 21J, 16S, gold-filled OF original Hamilton Model 8 bar-over-crown case, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, mono-metallic balance with blued Elinvar hairspring, narrow stripe pattern nickel damascene, s#2582092. An excellent example which is uncommon with this narrow stripe damascene, the earliest portion of Grade 992 Elinvar production retained the narrow stripe damascene pattern of "regular" 992 production but by the second dedicated 992 Elinvar run this pattern was changed to a much wider striped arrangement. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, few scattered micro-fine scratches, some small bits of oxide to larger winding wheel; virtually flawless dial with very short fine scratch at 12; nearly mint hands; case shows little wear, no dents, few small nicks; bow pivots freely, crown shows little wear; glass crystal with some scratches.
