APW - Hamilton, Grade 921, 21J, 10S, gold-filled OF original Hamilton case with 1943 G.M.C. presentation to rear, silvered dial with applied gold numerals, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, jeweled barrel arbor, bull's-eye pattern nickel damascene, s#H35782. Comes as pictured with its original Hamilton boxes - an inner hard plastic box with fitted velvet interior, and outer cardboard "gift" style box with label on one end bearing movement and case serial numbers correctly matching to present watch and label on the other end bearing presentation recipient's name. This latter detail indicates this was a bespoke piece with presentation detail factory-executed by Hamilton, and we further note the grade is denoted as "921 Special" on the box presumably in connection with its special presentation status. A beautiful example of this high grade men's dress watch that is delightfully complete with boxes and provenance. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, virtually mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, few micro-fine scratches; virtually flawless dial; nearly mint hands; case shows hardly any wear, no dents, superb presentation detail; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; plastic crystal with fine scratches; inner box shows hardly any wear; outer box shows light wear, some typical exterior marks and losses of finish at corners and edges, end labels largely intact with some mild losses at perimeters. Estimate: $300 - $500 JH-80808
