APW - Illinois, Grade 438, 21J, 12S, 14K green gold OF original case with blue enamel inlay to bezel and rear perimeter, initials to rear, silvered dial with vertical striped pattern to center surrounded by Greek key design, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, jeweled barrel arbor, satin nickel finish, s#3650846. Gross weight of assembled watch 32.9 dwt (51.1 g). A scarce high grade watch, the total production of the Grade 438 was 1130 made. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered micro-fine scratches; dial with darker toning at perimeter portions, few very small mild surface spots and micro-fine scratches; excellent hands; case shows ample wear, numerous dings to rear, substantially reduced engraving detail, enameling fully present; tight bow, crown shows medium wear; plastic crystal with fine scratches.
