APW - Illinois, Bunn, very rare HC, 17J, 16S, gold-filled original HC with attractive foliate engraving detail, front shield with initials, Montgomery white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, sunburst pattern nickel damascene, s#2577345. A very rare watch, the total production of 16 size 17 jewel Bunn hunting case was 192 made in two marking variants. The present watch is the earlier of these two variants, and has a total production of only 100 made. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, very few small micro-fine scratches and pinpoint surface nicks; visible portion of dial with patched chip to lower-right corner of center section above 5, fine scratch between 8 and 9; excellent hour hand and seconds-hand, fine minute hand with oxide to tip; case shows very little wear, no dents, excellent engraving detail, inner surface of case front is largely through to brass; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
