APW - Illinois, Sangamo Special, 19J, 16S, gold-filled OF recase, Montgomery white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, jeweled barrel, broad transverse band pattern nickel damascene, s#2615378. An uncommon watch, total production of the 19 jewel open face Sangamo Special was 1300 made. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, slightly stiff to wind, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some short fine and scattered micro-fine scratches, light oxide to regulator and some small to tiny spots elsewhere to steelwork; dial with few faint hls, some scattered short micro-fine scratches, some very light edge wear under bezel; excellent seconds-hand, fine hour with medium oxide, fair minute with ample oxide; case shows medium wear; dent to rear shield, reduced engine turning and engraving detail with full loss of engine turning at shoulder, some scattered thin rings of wear to brass throughout and spots to high points of band reeding; brassy bow pivots freely, crown shows ample wear; glass crystal with scattered short scratches and tiny nicks.
