APW - Illinois, Washington Watch Co., Army and Navy, Grade 65, 21J, 18S, gold-filled HC recase with attractive engraving details, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, nickel damascene, s#2592813. A rare watch in this 21 jewel 18 size hunting case form, based on a close study of Washington Watch Co. production runs we believe its total production to be approximately 320 made. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches and some mild striations from past wiping, very light oxide to screw heads; visible portion of dial with few scattered hls; fine-plus hands with finish loss and light oxide; case shows very light wear, some scattered dings and shallow dents, good engraving detail, wear to brass to edges and high points of engraving details, spots and slivers to pendant; brassy bow pivots freely, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
