APW - Illinois, Sangamo, 23J, 16S, gold-filled HC recase with attractive engraving detail including floral elements and a flying bird to front and rear, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel, bright spotted pattern nickel damascene, s#1977686. A scarce watch, total production of this particular marking variant of the 23 jewel Sangamo hunting case is believed to be 1210 made. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with few scattered hls and fine scratches, some print loss to hour numerals; excellent hands; case shows little wear, some scattered dings and nicks, good engraving detail; brassy bow pivots semi-freely, crown shows little wear; crystal is missing.
