APW - Rockford, "Railroad King" marked mvt, 15J, 18S, 14K gold box hinge drum style original HC with beautiful foliate engraving detail, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#344225. Gross weight of assembled watch 101.6 dwt (158.0 g). An attractive piece with rare railroad-associated movement marking. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, good two-tone color, some scattered tiny nicks and micro-fine scratches to balance cock and some elsewhere, very light oxide to steelwork; dial nearly flawless in visible portion, tiny flake and micro-fine scratch at 2:30; fine-plus hands with medium oxide, hour and minute are mismatched styles, minute and seconds-hand are slightly bent; case with soldered repair evident inside rear planchet, case shows very little wear, numerous dents and dings to rear, few mild dings and small dents elsewhere, excellent engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow is mildly thinned at top, crown shows very light wear; good glass crystal.
